We are proud to have contributed to the new water feature at RH Milan, unveiled during Milan Design Week within the historic Palazzo del Principe di Piombino.
WATERCUBE took part in the construction and installation of the fountain located inside the restaurant La Volta, envisioned by RH and engineered by Fountains Direct Ltd., featuring a refined reinterpretation of “Amore e Psiche” by sculptor Fabio Viale.
Watercube is proud to have contributed to one of the most prominent projects of 2026, delivering the integrated ground-level mist effect at MSG Arena. Designed by David Chipperfield Architects and inaugurated on 9 January 2026, the venue also served as a key location for the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games.
As part of the Jubilee redevelopment, the square facing San Giovanni in Laterano in Rome has been transformed into a renewed urban space. Water features, light, and stone come together in a refined dialogue that enhances the monumental context, offering citizens and pilgrims a new place for reflection, encounter, and timeless beauty.
Watercube is proud to have been part of the evolution of Palas Iași, supporting the project from its initial concept through detailed design and the final documentation that paved the way for construction. In close collaboration with Foster + Partners, the water features were designed to enrich the visitor experience and strengthen the relationship between the Palace of Culture, the surrounding park, and the vibrant public realm.
Watercube is proud to have contributed to the concept masterplan design for Expo 2030 Riyadh, working closely with Montana as part of the international consultant team led by LAVA.
Guided by the theme “Foresight for Tomorrow”, the project reimagines sustainable urban development through the integration of nature, innovation, water and culture. Contributing our expertise to a project of such global significance has been both an honor and a privilege.
Watercube collaborated with ZED Collective on the detailed design and IFC documentation of the water features and swimming pools for Omniyat Palm Crescent, contributing to the realization of this exclusive luxury waterfront development.
Creativity has always been a distinctive Made in Italy trait. The challenge that moves Watercube has been, since its birth, to achieve “greatness” not only by reviving the nobility of traditional Italian fountain makers through modern eyes, but also looking for the virtuous combination between creativity and engineering required in water control.
Our “water architectures” are the result of an elaborated process, in which experience, technical skills, versatility and inventive blend in together, adding life, shape and substance to ideas.

Albert Einstein quotes:
“Whatever you may think of, nature did it before”.
Throughout the time, many took inspiration from Mother Nature in order to capture its essence, secrets and spectacular beauty. Today, this approach can be universally recognized also in architecture and design as “biomimetic“: a mix of biology and technology for the purpose of solving complex human problems.
By observing nature, it is possible to find efficient solutions fostering sustainable growth and harmony between humans and environment.

What distinguishes Watercube is the achievement to control the unpredictable through technology, determining new shapes.
The use of virtual modelling tool is an evidence of Watercubeís attitude of planning before actual executions. This is how we are able to shape and adjust water in unusual roles, creating the illusion of breaking nature rules.
We believe in continuous research to always improve the know-how gained with years of experience.

For us it is not enough to deliver a simple working product, we want our customers to benefit from pollution reduction and closed water loop system for less water and power consumption. Fountains that are properly designed can totally find a place within sustainable projects.
This is our approach and the key themes of our philosophy: water preservation (recirculation treatments using non-polluting alternatives to chemical treatments); energy savings (control systems, LED lighting, air-water combination systems); reduced environmental impact (recyclable materials, minimum polluting impact) and environmental benefits (filtration / air ionization, micro climatic comfort).

At the moment, we are one of the few worldwide suppliers of turnkey projects, from pre-sale service, executive planning, selection of the required raw materials and technologies, to the complete realization of the plant.
To make this possible, Watercube has selected and trained a multidisciplinary and efficient team within its own organization able to handle and follow up the new projects in the best possible way. Teamwork is our strategic approach to collaborate within different fields such as lighting and sound design.

The water theater designed and developed by Watercube for the Savoy Royal Palace in Venaria Reale is one of the most significant milestones in the history of the company. It is the flagship of a new way of conceiving the water culture combined with the Italian tradition and the latest technologies in the reference market.
Our work was part of the larger refurbishment project of the Court of Honour of the Royal Palace. The Fountain represents a hunting scene perfectly fitting the local context (genius loci) of an area that is prevalently dedicated to hunting.

The bed of the new large fountain develops on an elliptical plan with the axes aligned with the two oldest building of the royal residence. The bed is made up of 192 stone slabs under which the nozzles and a spectacular lighting system are installed to give life to the water theatre. The basin is made of pebbles matching the original paving of the old fountain.
96 nozzles are arranged alternately to the slabs, spraying water jets at the considerable height of 10 m (33 ft.), which fits harmoniously well with the majestic architectural facility. An intangible ìmisty curtainî reflects the light and flatters thousand gorgeous shades.

We tested the water consumption and the total electric power requirement considering the characteristics of the interactive nozzles, lighting fixtures and pumping system. Special care has been taken to define all the characteristics of the hydraulic and electrical systems (studying the flowcharts), the wall structures and the correct arrangement of the technical room.
In-depth details, and architectural section drawings are extracted from concept design to allow proper installation of the systems. The water performance depends on the positioning of the technical systems and the resulting geometry of the architectural elements involved, such as stones, overflow edges, and collection drains.

In the implementation phase we follow-up step by step of the work progress from the initial visit to the site area to the final testing and commissioning up to the official handover of the work.
For the Royal Palace in Venaria, a detailed time schedule was followed. After the excavations and the realization of the foundations, we proceeded with the installation of the pipes and cable ducts, coordinating all work on site.
Watercube has designed the nozzles and lights in the elliptical channel, which runs around the bed of the fountain, as well as all the hydraulic and electrical components in the equipment room, the thinking heart of the fountain.

During the off-line programming, the main water and light choreography is defined and followed by an on-site implementation phase. During the latter they are transferred and applied to the fountain, establishing timing and sequences straight insitu.
This transforms the installation into a ìmusical fountain.î The water jets seem to dance with the selected songs and melodies controlled from a DMX console (Digital MultipleX). Perfectly synchronizing the water jets, the power of the pumps, and the colours of the LED lights with the songs you want, you can create exciting effects.

Before the final delivery, our technicians instruct and train the customerís staff on how to take the best care of the system, providing all the technical user manuals and maintenance instructions. It also includes the ìas builtî documentation of the installation both in paper and electronic formats. Operators will therefore be able to manage all systems on their own.
However, Watercube is always available to supply extraordinary maintenance services by its specialised technicians, supplying overhauling services at seasonís beginning and during winter storage.
